5/20/21: Update on Masking and Screening

Share:

We have recently fielded a lot of questions from the public on FCH’s policies on screening and masking upon entry into our facility. We want to clarify that although the CDC recently revised their recommendations to relax requirements on masking and social distancing on fully vaccinated people, they clearly stated that this relaxation does not apply to the health care setting. They state that hospital/health care staff, patients, and visitors still continue to wear masks. There continues to be a federal requirement that we screen individuals upon entry into the facility – therefore FCH will continue this practice until it’s not required. We apologize for the small inconvenience this causes and thank you for understanding our role in keeping our patients safe and following the guidelines that have been set for us.
