Fillmore County Hospital and Touchstone Orthopedics celebrated its 500th total knee surgery using the Stryker MAKO Robotic Assisted technology the week of May 20th. All FCH and Clinic staff celebrated and were treated with a burger bar and desserts. Local news affiliate, NTV, covered the event and interviewed Dr. Stoner and other staff. FCH was the third hospital surgery department in the state of Nebraska to adopt the MAKO technology back in August of 2019. This benefits FCH patients to have better outcomes – faster recovery times, increased range of motion and ambulation, and low complication rates. The benefits to Dr. Stoner’s surgery team have been additional planning and precision on the surgery itself, thus leading to better outcomes and patient satisfaction.
