FCH Employee Recognized for Caring Kind Award

Share:

Each year the Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA) recognizes individual hospital workers for their excellence in service through the Caring Kind Award.  For 40 years, The Caring Kind award has been given to Nebraska’s most caring and compassionate hospital employees. The award honors outstanding health care employees who have demonstrated compassion for patients, cooperation with co-workers and dedication to excellence in their job responsibilities.

Hospitals across the state each select one award recipient from within their respective institutions to be recognized during the NHA Annual Convention.

More than 2,500 skilled and dedicated health care professionals have received this award since its inception in 1979. This year, 76 employees were honored before more than 500 people in attendance at The Caring Kind Awards Luncheon held at the Embassy Suites Conference Center in La Vista.

Fillmore County Hospital has named Abby Stewart of Shickley as the Caring Kind Award recipient for 2019.  Abby is the Human Resource/Compliance Manager at FCH. She was recognized on October 18th, 2019 at the NHA’s annual Caring Kind Awards Ceremony in La Vista, NE.

Abby is one of the most deserving employees of the Caring Kind Award.  She has been a dedicated Fillmore County Hospital family member for almost 8 years and is the perfect representation of the culture and core values at the hospital. Coworkers stated, “Abby may have one of the hardest jobs here at FCH – but you would never know it – Abby always greets you with a quick smile and friendly “hello” that brightens your day!”, “Abby is an exceptional example of kindness. She always makes time for others and gives of herself selflessly to leave others better than she found them.”, and “Abby is typically the first person to suggest helping another and is always central to making it happen!”
