The Bryan CAH network and the Heartland Health Alliance partnered with Bryan Health, Bryan Medical Center, Bryan College of Health Sciences and Bryan Physician Network to offer onsite OB simulation to hospitals. Fillmore County Hospital applied to be a site and was notified in January that we were selected to be a site for the simulation.
The training was done by Doctors and Nurses for Fillmore County Hospital Doctors, PA’s, and Nurses. The morning was spent in lecture and hands on simulated scenarios pertaining to the topics of ‘Managing Common High Risk Conditions’ including Maternal Hypertension, Shoulder Dystocia, and Post-partum Hemorrhage and ‘Neonate Management’ related to these high risk conditions.
Everyone involved in the simulation event felt that they learned a lot and are grateful to the Bryan CAH network and the Heartland Health Alliance for providing this great learning opportunity.
