Abra Robbins D.O.

Physician

Dr. Abra Robbins was born and raised in rural South Africa and brings a diverse and fascinating background to her medical career. She graduates from Nico Malan High in 2004 and goes on to attend Union College in Lincoln, where she earns a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a minor in International Rescue and Relief. During her time at Union, she meets her future husband, David.

After graduation, Dr. Robbins returns to South Africa before moving back to the United States in 2011 to work as an au pair for several families. She reconnects with David, and the two marry in 2012. They move to Utqiaġvik, Alaska, where Dr. Robbins works as a substance abuse counselor for two years while also taking Public Health classes through the University of Colorado. In 2015, she begins medical school at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia. She serves as a reserve officer in the U.S. Navy for two years before joining the Lincoln Family Medicine Residency Program in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 2020.

David Robbins was born and raised in Alaska and graduates from Barrow High School in 2005. He studies Mechanical Engineering at Union College in Lincoln and completes his degree at Walla Walla University in Washington in 2010. He works as an Arctic utility engineer in Alaska for several years, commuting back and forth from Alaska to Virginia while Abra attends medical school. When Abra begins her residency in Lincoln in 2020, they settle there permanently. David now works as a Senior Agricultural Engineer for Setje Agri-Services and Engineering in Raymond, Nebraska.

Abra and David have one son and live locally. In their spare time, they enjoy traveling and spending time with family.
