Kelly Perry, LCSW

Mental Health Therapist/Clinical Social Worker

I grew up in small farming community in Nebraska, which is where I started working as a nurse’s assistant. This allowed me to discover my passion for working with the elderly and rural communities. I knew I wanted to pursue social work early on in college and started out at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2013. I attended graduate school for Social Work at the University of Denver, where I continued pursuing my passion of aging, and graduated in 2015. My experience includes working in case management, long term care, hospice, and memory care facilities.

I believe that all of us experience times in our life when we need someone to walk alongside us and help us through life experiences. I enjoy being able to help others realize their self-worth, promote overall health and wellness, and provide motivation to help them attain their personal goals. I specialize in working with the geriatric population (55+) however continue to thoroughly enjoy working with clients of all ages. My primary expertise is working with clients who have experienced grief and loss, anxiety, depression, cognitive deficits, and caregivers caring for a loved one at home or in a healthcare facility. My interventions incorporate a strengths-based approach, I strongly believe that each person has inherent strengths that can be used to cultivate resiliency and foster sustained growth.

I have had additional training and experience in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), grief, anxiety, depression, and working with the geriatric population.
