Visitor Guidelines: Updated 04/22/2021

Share:

As we respond to the unique needs of our community related to COVID-19, we continue to monitor the need for pandemic-related visitor restrictions and limitations for our hospital.

Current Visitor Restrictions: The risk of COVID-19 is being managed with proper mask wearing, maintaining safe physical distances, and other infection prevention measures.

Healthy people can visit patients on the Inpatient Medical Unit if they wear a mask at all times and follow other infection prevention expectations. These expectations are intended for all visitors, regardless of vaccine status. Due to space limitations and the need for physical distancing, we ask that visitors accompany patients to Specialty Clinic visits only if needed for physical or cognitive support.

Our dining room remains closed to visitors at this time, except as arranged by the patient’s care team. This is again due to space limitations and the need for physical distancing.

Visitation to patients in Isolation, including for COVID-19, will be at the discretion of the Care Team.

As per pre-pandemic guidelines, no visitors are allowed in the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.

All visitors must:

·        Enter through designated entrances to check in and be screened for risk of illness. Designated entrances are the Main Entrance, except after 5 PM and on weekends or holidays when visitors will enter through the ER Walk-In entrance.

·        Wear a cloth or procedure mask covering mouth and nose when entering the hospital. Children over 2 must wear a mask; pediatric sized masks are available at the Front Desk and Nurses Station. Visitors to isolation rooms must wear appropriate equipment as directed by the Care Team.

·        Follow all infection prevention and other Fillmore County Hospital guidelines.

·        Individuals unwilling to follow infection prevention and other requirements will be asked to leave the facility.

Fillmore County Hospital will continue to monitor risks and adjust visitation limitations and restrictions as conditions allow.
