Born and raised in Omaha, NE, I graduated valedictorian from Omaha North High in 2003 and went to the University of Nebraska at Omaha on a Scott Scholarship and graduated in 2007 with a BS in Accounting minor in Mathematics and a BS in Management Information Systems minor in Computer Science. I started interning in accounting at Alegent Health prior to graduation and was hired full-time post graduation.  I quickly moved my way amongst positions in with in the accounting department at Alegent Health and left in the fall of 2013 as their Team Lead of Accounting. I had met my now husband and moved to McCcol Junction, NE.  I held a few different jobs before finding my home back in healthcare at Fillmore County Hospital.  I graduated in May 2020 with my MBA from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

Healthcare has always been my passion in life.  I experienced a rare medical condition while in college, which ended up being a birth defect, and due to research and advancement in healthcare I’ve been able to live my life and fulfill my dreams.  Because of that I’ve dedicated my professional life to better healthcare and make sure all have access to the healthcare they need.  I love working in finance, process improvement and strategy, so being the Director of Finance for FCH is a perfect fit.  Finding a home at FCH has been a blessing, the culture, atmosphere and people embodies everything I stand for, with the well being of the staff, patients, and community at the heart of everything they do! 

I currently live in McCcol Junction with my husband Justin Jacobsen and our two boys, Cameron and Ethan, on my husband’s family farm.  My family is the light of my life and we enjoy spending as much time outside as possible!
