Jeri George, LICSW

Mental Health Therapist/ Clinical Social Worker

As a small-town Nebraska girl, I enjoy collaborating with individuals, families and communities to help others learn and grow in their understanding of mental health. I am passionate about promoting awareness and providing education to our communities, so that we can help support each other through the stress of life.

To live well, all aspects of an individual deserve time and attention. I am committed to providing safe and supportive care to help others build confidence and self-worth. As a therapist, I enjoy being able to join with individuals and become a part of their support system to work towards their personal goals and promote their overall wellness.

I received my education as a Clinical Social Worker through the Grace Abbott School of Social Work at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Over the years I have worked with clients of all ages and have thoroughly enjoyed gaining knowledge through each of the relationships and experiences I have encountered. My primary role at FCH is within our school based mental health services working with individual students, providing support, education, and training to staff and families.

I have had additional training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), play therapy, trauma treatment for children and adolescents, disruptive behaviors, grief, and anxiety. My additional certifications include Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid Instructor and QPR Trainer.
